Why I built Safehold

Founder, Safehold
Safehold started with a question from a friend.
He asked how much it would cost to build a children's check-in app for his church. I'd been a software developer long enough to know the honest answer: tens of thousands of dollars. Maybe more.
That answer didn't sit right with me. Churches shouldn't have to spend that kind of money on software when there are people to feed, families to support, and souls to win for Christ. Every dollar a church pours into custom software is a dollar that isn't going toward the mission God called it to.
So I told him I'd build it. I'd charge just enough to cover the cost of development with a little left over to keep improving it — and nothing more. That's how Safehold was born.
Since then, it's grown into something bigger than I imagined. My mission now is to build software for churches — to give them modern, reliable tools at a price they can actually afford, so they can spend their time and money on what matters most: ministering to their people and sharing the gospel.
If I can make a full-time job out of helping churches be more effective for the Kingdom of God, I'll count that as the greatest work of my life.
